APABA Monthly Community Legal Clinic (Angelus Plaza)
Monthly Event - Second Wednesday of every month
Los Angeles, CA
APABA Monthly Clinic for Elders: APABA will be holding a regular monthly clinic at Angelus Plaza, a housing facility for low income elders in Los Angeles. The clinic will be on the 2nd Wednesdays of each month from 5:30-7:30pm (volunteers are asked to arrive by 5:15pm). Volunteers will be matched with an elder and help with intake and provide information in response to myriad legal issues in the areas of family law, estate planning, criminal law, civil matters, government benefits, and immigration. Please fill out this form to volunteer. You will be asked what areas of law you have particular expertise/interest in, and we will do out best to match you with an elder accordingly.
The clinic will be in the Cafeteria on the 4th floor of Angelus Plaza. Please park in the parking structure at 305 S. Hill St. (next to Angels Flight). Take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Turn right and keep walking till you reach the elevator near the library. Take the elevator to the 4th floor cafeteria.
A light dinner and refreshments will be provided.
If you are interested in joining our clinic planning committee and/or have any questions, please e-mail Deborah Yao at firstname.lastname@example.org , (213) 393-5354.
*We are preparing a Call List of attorneys who we could call on for advice during the clinic. If you can't make it to the clinic but would be willing to be on the Call List, please e-mail us your name, phone, email and area of law.
